Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
Vortore is operated by Synksha Private Limited, the company it trades as. It answers phone calls for subscribing businesses, so it necessarily handles data about two groups: the business that subscribes, and the people who call that business. This policy covers both, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP).
What we collect
- From subscribing businesses: business name, contact details, login credentials, team schedules, and the knowledge you give the agent.
- From callers: the phone number, call audio while the call is live, the transcript, and the details a caller chooses to give to make a booking (name, preferred time, a contact number for confirmations).
How it is used
- To run the call: speech is transcribed and processed by AI providers so the agent can respond, and the audio stream is not retained by us beyond the call except as transcript and call records.
- To keep the business informed: transcripts, bookings and call outcomes appear in that business’s dashboard only.
- To send confirmations and reminders the caller asked for, by email or WhatsApp.
- Never for advertising, and never sold.
Who sees it
- Only the business a call belongs to. Every record is scoped to one business; no business can see another’s data.
- Processors we use to run calls and messages: telephony, speech recognition, language-model and speech-synthesis providers, and messaging gateways. Each receives only what its step needs.
- In our own operational logs, phone numbers are reduced to their last four digits.
Retention and deletion
- Transcripts and message bodies are redacted automatically after the business’s retention window, which is one year unless the business shortens it. A business may also switch redaction off and keep them; if that matters to you, ask the business you called.
- Deletion in the product is soft by default; permanent deletion is performed for erasure requests.
Your rights (DPDP)
- Access / export: you can request an export of the personal data we hold about you.
- Erasure: you can request deletion. We remove your customer profile and the record of missed calls to you outright, and we strip your name, number and message content from call transcripts, chats, past appointments and call-quality records. Two things are deliberately kept, and you are told both when you ask: an appointment you have not yet attended, because the business is still performing that booking and needs to know who is coming; and the call’s duration and cost with all content and identifiers removed, because that is the business’s own billing record. You receive an itemised list of exactly what was erased and what was kept.
- Correction: you can ask the business you called to correct your name or contact details.
- Consent record: consents are recorded in a ledger with time and context, including when a business had configured no spoken disclosure.
What you are told on the call
The call audio is not stored — only a written transcript, which is what the business sees and what the retention window above applies to. Some businesses also play a spoken notice before the greeting saying you are speaking to an AI assistant; that wording is set by the business and is not played by every one of them.
On a call we place to you, the agent always says it is an automated assistant and which business it is calling from, in its first sentence.
Callers may send requests through the business they called, or directly to support@vortore.com; we answer within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-based and audit-logged, and secrets are held in a managed secret store. Payment card and UPI details never touch our systems — payments are processed by Razorpay.
